In California we are flooded with beautiful strawberries right now. I love the combination of a salty cheese with sweet fruit, seriously I think I could eat sweet and savory for every meal. We got some beautiful stuff at the farmers market over the weekend and I had to try this take on a recipe I have seen made many times with different variations. I toasted some bread and spread the warm tops with goat cheese (sadly not my brothers cheese, but still yummy), sliced strawberries and laid over top, then drizzled with a thick fig balsamic vinegar (really any will do but the thicker the better). It was to die for! We had it with champagne and it was like heaven.
